What's New This 1st Of The Month?

Now that September will not return for another year and the hot, sticky weather has passed through like a bad fart, I can finally make my runs and crochet some stuff.  The muggy air had prevented me from touching base with a couple of connects at Venice Beach and driven me batty.  While it's still hot (Summer usually leaves Los Angeles for a few days and comes back like a boomerang), at least it's tolerable out here.

I've listed some funky fresh hats and patterns on Etsy.  Speaking of which, two things happened:

1) I sold a custom-made fedora to a lovely woman in New Jersey.

2) My broke behind couldn't even pay the damn Etsy bill on time.

So before I split and make this cash deposit, here are the newest listings:

Hats Returning From The Graveyard

No, I'm not prepping for Halloween (too many bittersweet memories).  I stopped celebrating that mess after graduating high school.  Lately I've been fine-tuning my Etsy shop and contemplating whether or not to kill off my TripleClicks store (been stillborn for a year and a half).  Maybe I should take it off life support...

Anywho, here's what I've posted and forgot to post...

Some of these tams are also listed on my TripleClicks shop, but haven't even got a bite.  So now they're on Etsy.

Old Hats, New Life

I've put my little TripleClicks shop in the back seat for a bit, mostly because I've been spending my time on Etsy getting my crochet business off the ground.  Old hats I was selling on the first store got a few look-sees, but that's about it.  Maybe it'll be different on this second store.  But in case you missed them...

I'm Still Here

Just like the Notations said...  (Yes, I know that song was before my time.)

Been sort of busy as of late; I celebrated my 31st birthday on the 2nd this month, I've mostly been hustling my hats throughout the city, and I lost my main flash drive (It sucks, doesn't it?).

Anyway, I'll keep this post short and sweet.  And I'll be back with some hat listings.

The Latest In-Store Goodies

Thought I'd never be able to post some more stuff on my Etsy shop; these public library computers are wonky.  But I did it!  So now without any further delay...

Two of my Connects Shut Down... :(

Looks like I'm out of two shops in Los Angeles County...

First, a hat shop called Sidewalk Fashions in Long Beach got axed.  And now it's about to be some new boutique on the block.  It can't be all bad, though... Maybe the new owners might be my buddies who ran Sidewalk Fashions.  I'll just have to look into all this.  Oh well, I'll just pay a visit to Shades of Afrika up the street once I make a trip to the LBC...

Another place called Jah Lambs and Lions, a Rastafarian store, permanently closed its doors.  The place that now stands is up for lease, and the only pieces of that store left are the sign and the awning.

Wherever you guys are, I hope you're doing well and I'd like to see you again so we can get the ball rolling.

So now that means I'm going to have to find some more spots around the city and other neighboring towns to take my hats.  I only think of it as a couple of bee stings.  You just have to ease the pain, heal up, and keep it pushing.

New Tam Listings and Homework Scramble

Yet after another loooooong hiatus, I'm back.  Couldn't crochet much due to studying for an Algebra exam and churning out two essays for my English Literature class.  Luckily, I still have time to pick up a hook and yarn when I'm on the bus or train en route to wherever my destination may be.

I just listed these two colorful tams on Etsy a few minutes ago...
