I don't even know what to say...
Just found out this morning that Prince died. That story hit me like a sack of bricks. And I'm still feeling the aftereffects.
Last week, there was a news story circulating the internet about him making an emergency landing due to flu-like symptoms after canceling a gig in Atlanta, at the Fox Theatre. Supposedly, he was doing well. Then today I hear the news about him passing...?!
Seriously...Prince is dead?!!
Right now, I have no words to describe this whole situation as I'm trying to process the fact that the music world has lost another talented icon. Truth is, I want to weep buckets of tears but I can't bring myself to do it. Hearing of his death feels like another part of my childhood died right along with him. I was raised on his music, just like everyone else on this earth.
With that, I bid farewell to this great man. I would like to thank him for such beautiful music. Hopefully he and Vanity will throw a splendid concert within the Pearly Gates.
